Obviously no one told the 100 blokes about 2 metre rule

Drove past Thornaby cemetery last night, and there was easily 100 blokes at a funeral. This is why this virus won't go away, because of idiots like this

It won't go 'away' because of a 100 blokes at a funeral? 🤔

I think the packed pubs /restaurants and high streets are worse. People don't need to eat out or go to the pub. I can understand wanting to go to a funeral.

It's not the worst covidiots (hate that world).

Nobody has any right to decide how many people go to a funeral. Only the people involved have that right.

Maybe not, no one is saying that. It's the 100's stood together doesn't help. And as said above. Pubs and restaurants are not helping. I can't see this 10pm closing time making much difference

Or the 100 kids standing outside the local shop after school yesterday. Not a mask in sight and about 2 foot apart.

Yes true. I'm not saying it's 'ok' just that I'd have more sympathy with large gatherings at a funeral than pubs. I actually thought the limit was 30? All though not sure who enforces it. I'm not sure I'd want to be a copper walking into a funeral to break it up.

The pubs thing is a farce. It just means everyone leaves at 2200 instead of 2230... How does it effect the transmission of covid😂?

The government are.

Pubs and restaurants not helping? Why?
The 10pm rule is daft I agree. Should be left to landlords and owners to control.

No massive rise in the cases during August but as soon as schools and office workers go back in September the cases started rising but somehow the hospitality and tourism industry gets the blame?

Can't believe I finally figured out how to post a picture
Yes, well done. And what a "memorable" picture it is...

The problem here is, even if they had been socially distanced the virus is still there.
It isn’t going anywhere

We have been out and about for 4 months now - significant part of that period without masks.
Deaths?

Increasing quicker by the day

They are
The measure is v 5 year average not day by day
Also, what happened for months when there were loads of mixing, deaths below 5 year average and hardly any hospital cases?
I’ve no idea but someone ought to be finding out
