Does anybody know what happened with this? I know it was for sale but don’t know if it sold, I presume it did as it’s not for sale anymore.
When I search I see the plan for yet more residential homes on the site which would be sad.
I’m around that way daily and often think what it would have been like to buy it and get it back to a working farmstead. A bit of livestock, walled garden and farm shop with a few holiday lets. It’s rammed with wildlife up there.
If only I had more money!! Nevermind

As far as I’m aware the tenancy had ended, it’s owned by Middlesbrough Council. A new farm was built for the tenant over the other side of the A172. It was to be sold for housing development. That was the information I was given approximately 8 years ago when the tenant moved

It’s certainly been going on a while. I was aware that it was the council selling, seems all the more likely it will end up as housing. What was the new farm over the a172? That White House which looks out of place appeared on Morton Carr lane area about then

This is a draft from 2018 for what would be a massive development on the edge of Nunthorpe. Middlesbrough Council already owned the majority of the land at that time. The southern border would be along the A1043 from Poole roundabout to the railway line. You can probably imagine the potential chaos of vastly increased traffic on Marton Road and Ormesby Bank.

Sorry, did try to upload a pdf but site says it's too large.

That’s a big development which has started. I think the health centre is complete.
Nunthorpe hall farm is further out past grey towers. I don’t know what farm the fields developed in your post were part of

sold for £300,000 more than the asking price - also some agreement the mayor preston made to give the local community (nunthorpe not middlesbrough) 3% of any profit above the asking price - any ideas as to who got that or what it was/is/has been used for?

Some want a community center, but the community are still arguing about where that should be, also a children's play area is planned.
