The Tories have been surprisingly ( or maybe not surprisingly) upfront about the fact that their main strategy is to use senseless and divisive rhetoric to win voters. Lee Anderson, the deputy chair of the Tory party, was asked what the party’s strategy was for the next election and his retort was: “It’ll probably be a mixture of culture wars and trans debate”.

Going by recent history he isn't the only MP who has experience dealing with fraud, I would think a fair few of them have dealt with fraud on a major scale in the not too distant past. The better protecting the public part not so much overall experience from MPs.
