Germany have more or less thrown the Scandic and Baltic states under the bus ... blocking any Nato defence of those territories because they have a very important deal going with Russia for their gas supply. Hence Sweden's "volunteers" going into the Ukraine to do as much damage as possible.

How have they blocked NATO defence of the Baltics when they're NATO members? If they're attacked by Russia, NATO goes all in. That is it's fundamental tenet. Even if Germany wanted to throw them under the bus (odd to do to fellow EU member states) they couldn't.

First off I never said it was equivellant. What I did do was point out that if Johnson isn't fit for office because he lies then surely the same thing can be leveled at starmer. He lied to the entire labour party. However it seems that people are prepared to accept that because starmer has a better chance than Corbyn at beging elected pm. At the very least it's hypocrisy.

As I have already said I don't want to get involved in the constant arguments on here, I have better things to do than wring my hands over something I can do nothing about.

I would imagine any racist or xenophobe would have voted brexit if they voted in the referendum.
That doesn't make everyone who voted brexit either of those.
Moaning about people generalising whilst generalising them seems odd.
Though better than actually lying about them I suppose

exactly, same_as_before talking nonsense again. There are NATO troops permenantly deployed in the Baltic states. There are 1,800 British troops in Estonia alone. Any invasion would see loss of British life, and that wouldn't be tolerated by the British people or government. Same goes for all those other NATO nations with forces in those countries.

We also sent Typhoons over the day after Russia invaded, to Romania and Poland, and they've been doing sorties over Latvia and Estonia from what I've heard. They've operated from Latvia and Estonia over the last decade or so also.

Yeah interesting one isn't it? @samgets so upset and angry when people suggest some brexit supporters might be xenophobic and yet he has a clear, well documented xenophobia himself. Those comments are a pretty unedifying read
