People who are now expected to return to work but aren't key workers who can send their kids to school, what are they now supposed to do about childcare?
Yet again no discussion with those involved to have any kind of coherent plan and phased restart and this is why Johnson isn’t a very good Prime Minister, there are lots of Conservative MP’s who would do a much better job, he doesn’t seem to understand that a road map needs roads building before you set of on a journey, how can a school that has staffing and procedures set up for 25 kids suddenly be expected at 7pm on a Sunday to have things in place for say double that number, at 8.30 in the morning ?
Johnson doesn’t do planning just bold statements and subsequent backtracks and broken promises, I think mainly because he just can’t do detail and that is where the devil is that makes all the difference.
Correct. I'm due in my school on Tuesday, expecting something between 6 and 14/15 children. I imagine that number will be leaping up from this week. It's not been thought out or communicated well. As a colleague pointed out to me, who qualified to attend in the first place, 7 weeks ago, was at the school's discretion. I guess this will be too.
Not helpful when you have a whole host of people who have been told to go back to work.
It remains the same though doesn't it, children of key workers? Schools shouldn't be taking these decisions, refer enquiries to the responsible authority.
It wouldn't just be double though. The number of key workers at work won't change but if they start letting everyone in some schools would have hundreds of kids especially in areas with less professionals (who tend to be the only people who can work from home, generally speaking)Yet again no discussion with those involved to have any kind of coherent plan and phased restart and this is why Johnson isn’t a very good Prime Minister, there are lots of Conservative MP’s who would do a much better job, he doesn’t seem to understand that a road map needs roads building before you set of on a journey, how can a school that has staffing and procedures set up for 25 kids suddenly be expected at 7pm on a Sunday to have things in place for say double that number, at 8.30 in the morning ?

It's important surely that staff are working from the same hymn sheet, if staff aren't aware of what is, or will be occurring how can parents be clear about the situation?Thankfully, not my decision to make or my place to have to decide who to ask!
