Hi Sportsfans, was there a protest on 30 minutes? I couldn't work out if there was, or maybe it just coincided with Plymouth's second goal.....๐Ÿ˜•

Anyway, Plymouth looked a good side, they competed better than Boro all over the pitch. I'm still trying to work out who was playing up front for us tbh....๐Ÿ˜•

Goalscorer and right wing back No.29 Matty Sorinola looked a good player, he was up and down that side, effective in attack and defence and capped his performance with a smart finish.

No.10 Morgan Whittaker was fairly quiet but showed his quality in flashes and No.9 Ryan Hardie scored a lovely individual goal and led the line well, he has 13 goals this season.

Nobby's choice was No.18 Darko Gyabi on loan from Leeds, he was a constant threat in behind Hardie and set him up for the second goal. Full of running, quick with a physical presence this lad looked the real deal.and still only 20. Represented England at all levels upto U20.

Came through the Man City academy and moved to Leeds in 2022 for 5M BAR as part of the deal that saw Kalvin Phillips go the other way.
Moved on load to Plymouth in the January window.

In the Notebook guys ๐Ÿ‘

Gyabi is one of my picks for a midfielder next season for us. Assuming Leeds get promoted he probably isn't getting in the team. If we took him for the whole season we could use him sparingly for the first half of the season to get him up to speed then he ought to be in contention for first choice midfielder after Christmas. Then again, he's playing whole matches for Plymouth Argyle now and might be in contention for 1st choice midfield straight away.

Unless Agyemang kicks on, we don't seem to have any of our own players to develop in central midfield.

I had been keen on Baccus, playing for St Mirren but given that Boyd Munce is getting picked ahead of him, I guess not.

Gyabi looked quality to me also ๐Ÿ‘
And to think some of the cranks on here had predicted I would choose Whittaker PAH ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“–โœ๏ธ
