Nobbys Notebook - Bristol City 📖✍️

Hi Sportsfans welcome to my Notebook post.
An entertaining afternoon at the Riverside but a little disappointing at the end as we really should have won it with 72% possession and 23 shots...

Bristol City had a trio of ex Boro players in the dugout, Big Nige, Curtis Fleming and the guy you probably all missed, the one and only Jason Euell 👍 Not much gets past me 👀

Bristol City caused some problems on the break in the first half utilising the pace of their forwards. No 15 Nakhi Wells was a Notebook entry from years ago, he's always been a consistent scorer despite playing in average sides. I would have taken him a couple of years ago but he's getting on a bit now.

Last seasons Notebook choice No.7 Alex Scott looked classy again. He started the counter attack that led to City's goal but didn't get much chance to get on the ball in a congested midfield.

My Notebook choice was easy this week.
No 12 Max O'Leary Goalkeeper.
Made a sensational double save in the first half just before City took the lead and kept his side in it with a string of fine saves.

O'Leary Age 26, has been with Bristol City his entire career but spent time out on loan at Kidderminster, Bath, Solihull Moors and Shrewsbury Town. Been in the Rep of Ireland squad but yet to make his debut.

Got himself into the City first team this season and looks like he'll stay there. He's in the Notebook 👍

A scout doesn't pick out the 'top performer'. Any Tom, d*ck or Nobby could do that.
Just because things are staring you in the face Borofur it doesn't mean it's the wrong choice kid...

I have a well earned break now until Dec 10th. I will be focussing on my other business interests 👍

Maybe it could be retitled Nobby’s stating the bleedin obvious 😆
People are starting to take notice of my Notebook. Plenty of names on my listings the club could go for that would improve our side.
Sorba Thomas, Siriki Dembele, Daniel Johnson, Alex Scott, Shayne Lavery, Cohen Bramall all within our reach 👍

But not anyone at the club sadly - maybe they’re doing it out of spite 🤔

Well we did sign Riley McGree so someone is taking note 👍 We also tried to sign Greaves 👍
Sorba Thomas from Huddersfield really impressed me this season....just the sort of forward thinking quick midfielder we should be looking at, great on set plays also 👍👍
