No Time To Die

There seems to be too much exploring the villains psyche… lots of dialogue where they make out they know what people need.. they’re just megalomaniacal psychos who want to kill people for power and bond is out to stop them…

Absolutely, be boring if we all had the same opinions.

Interestingly everyone I saw it with thought it was pretty average too. Wonder how much we influenced each others opinions though.
Ha ha, probably, because everyone who saw it who I know loved it, including my mother who is always right!

It's gotta be worth watching for Ana de Armas. A Cuban goddess😘

Sorry about objectifying a bond girl as I'm sure they are trying to get away from that. In fact I don't think they are even called 'bond girls' now.
Is it wrong now to appreciate her attractiveness? In precisely the same way that my mrs has an appreciation of Mr Craig. I'm all for equality and consider myself as fairly insightful, but am I out of touch with the 'accepted' approach to these things? Maybe I'm just suddenly too old.

Thoroughly enjoyed the latest film, real return to form in my eyes.

Though I'm disappointed with the ending.

Thought the first 2 Craig films were rubbish .well not rubbish. Just generic action film. Lacking humour.
Old bond film. Kills someone. Makes joke about method of killing someone.
New bond film. Kills someone. Makes ironic reference to making a joke about killing someone.

What about his 3rd and 4th Bond films?

I'll spoiler it in case anyone is reading the thread but hasn't seen it, but here are my bullet point thoughts:

- Thought the pre-opening credits segment was excellent, even if a few of the action moments were slightly too contrived

- They seemed to ramp up the homages and references to previous Bond films, which I appreciated.

- Lots of gadgets, which I missed in previous Craig films.

- I enjoyed basically every part of the Cuba segment, felt like classic Bond and Ana de Armas was brilliant as a Bond girl even if her inclusion was sadly brief.

- I like the supervillain plot, although the main bad guy himself felt almost tacked on given how little involvement he had in most of the film.

- Loved Nomi as a character, although I'm not sure she'd hold up as the main character if they went down that route.

- Bond's daughter added very little of interest to the plot for me and the actress playing her was very poor, but that's often to be expected when you have someone that young.

- Personal opinion, but I did not like James Bond dying at the end.
It would have been a really good send off if that was the end of the whole series but we already know they're bringing it back, and I've never liked the codename theory.
Either the next film will be about "007", which I think is rubbish, or it's another reboot, or they take a convoluted route where a new agent adopts the James Bond moniker and mannerisms.

Of the 3, reboot would be my preference, but I think the "James Bond will always be a man" comments from Barbara Brocoli take on a new complexion when Bond is dead.
I wouldn't be shocked if they did go with a woman, maybe even carrying on with Nomi as a character though I don't think she'd carry her own film.

Probably my least favourite of the Daniel Craig Bonds but worth a watch.
Idris Elba next for me.
