No more Lilt

Why?

I still don't understand why they repackaged salt n vinegar crisps from blue into green packets, and cheese n onion the other way round.

Why???

I still get confused between them.

I blame the guardian reading, tofu eating, wokerati.
Blame me. Everyone else does. I couldn't give a flying fortress. I am your saviour. That's just what the bum-faced people do. We take on all of your sins and feed upon them. The bigger the sin, the tastier the meal. Mmmm, yummy, yummy sin, washed down with a lovely glass of Lilt. You can't beat it.

Mango & Mandarin Lilt was the best. After they stopped that it was all downhill
I heavily influenced TCCC for this variant to strengthen the brand when I worked in Multiple Grocery channel. It launched very well, revived Lilt, but then suffered as TCCC invested nothing ATL in the brand.
When I first joined the system, Lilt was the biggest flavoured carbs brand we had, but Coke made it clear they saw Lilt going by the wayside. It's taken them 35 years to do it.
Genuinely sad for me.
They couldn't even keep it a sub brand of Fanta. b***ds. It will be flavour rotated in the Fanta range and eventually disappear.
Several of us would have bought this brand at various stages along the decline, but TCCC not willing to even negotiate. They don't want it, but nobody else can have it.
Now they have neglected it so long, nobody would pay big money for it.
As I say back in the late 80's it vied with Tango as biggest flavours brand, before Fanta's national launch in the UK.
Jon Woods leaves his role and suddenly it is gone.

A fascinating and unexpected insight into your work at the Coca Cola company, thank you.

You did a great thing in bringing in Mango & Mandarin Lilt, sadly missed.

gonna hoard all the last stock and watch the price goto the moon with prime £9 a bottle next week if u after any
Beat you to it. I've got a garage full of Lilt now. I'm going to be so rich. I'll spend it all on fancy guitars and cans of Quatro.

Not so great with later Banana & Peach variant, but was a little removed by then.
