No Jones in tonights team

He went off on Saturday. I'm guessing now injured. I'm hoping it's nothing longer term.

Peltier will do a job defensively.

The front 2 is a real surprise as Balogun and Connally have done well (despite some of the stick from the usual suspects).

I'm not sure what Sporar brings. Hopefully my comments will be the poster curse and he now gets 3😂
 
Fulham game plan will be thrown into disarray. All week they will of focused on how to contain Jones and stop him. Now a full weeks of Fulham training and game plan goes out the window as Wilder pulls a bit of genius out of the bag and does the unthinkable and doesn't play our key wing back 🤯😂

He has, but we have no natural RWB cover with Jones out. Not a long term thing (hopefully!) just for tonight.

I've got a feeling Pelts will probably play there, not sure moving Djiksteel and disrupting the back three is the best ploy against the league's best attack.
 
Last three games or so I’ve thought that Jones has been a little underwhelming— so I’m not too sure if he’s carrying an injury or there’s something else going on behind the scenes?

He's also an been an ever-present in the side since forever this season. Ordinarily the rest would have done him good, but he's just had the international break off.

Just an illness at the wrong time, but better now than against Hudds.
 
I think if we get a point we’ll be happy with that. But let’s be honest Jones is a big miss and trying to fill his boots with anything from the squad isn’t going to work, so perhaps we’ll see a different type of Boro tonight.
 
Thought we needed our strongest team out to get a result tonight. Taylor and Peltier not too sure about these two nor the strikers- hope I am absolutely wrong
 
I’m not against Taylor playing with Jones out. We have nobody to replace Jones, so no point restructuring the side to try and do it. Might as well play a bit more conservatively and then press on second half with the subs.

Peltier on that side is better balance with Taylor on the other and Taylor’s a better defender than Bola.

No point trying to square peg round hole it, against the best side in the league, we could end up our of the game before half time.

The front two is just rotation, fine with that, but Coburn deserves a start soon.
 
Dijksteele could play RWB, paddy could go midfield and Tav can play WB but all of those are moving players who have been outstanding in their positions.

Looks to me we’ve just tried to keep it similar, but have gone a bit more conservative, but that makes sense considering the opposition. We don’t want an open game of trying to trade chances, as we would come off second best.
