NFL Play off weekend

I didn’t like the reffing at the end of the game
Hindsight is 20/20 but a lot of people today are putting the blame squarely on Dallas & Prescott.

Apparently
- "the analytics show..." that Dallas would've had a better chance of a TD with 2 shots from the 40 yard line than a run & throw from the 30.
- having made the decision to run, Prescott should've slid after making the 10, as it is less distance for the Umpire to run to get into position to touch the ball & so saves time.
- having completed his slide, he should've handed the ball to the official for him to spot not his center, to save time.
- having handed it to the center, he should've been looking for the official and not blocking him off.

Having said all that, the ump made a complete hash of it, running into Prescott and especially when he respotted the ball. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: What a sad way for Dallas to lose :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

I've actually thought the officiating has at times been poor/questionable in all the play off games this weekend.
Apparently there are 17 teams of NFL officials & they work together all season but for the play-offs they select the best individuals to form a crew for the playoffs & they may not get more than 1 game and a max of 2 iirc.

Considering there are 13 play off games plus the Pro-Bowl, you have to be sub-par not to get selected.

Literally just watched a video that said the problem was poor execution by Dallas rather than the call itself. The ref didn't help though.

Worst (or most messed up) call was the phantom whistle in the Bengals. It shouldn't have been blown to start with but once it had been then the play was dead and the TD couldn't stand. So 2 mistakes on 1 play.

Refs have been poor all season, some very bizarre calls and the general opinion is that changes (a sky judge watching on TV for all calls) are likely.
