Next Season..

Not far off now, and can't see it getting back to normality any time soon. The government and the EFL have some big decisions to make. I can understand getting this season finished and put to bed, but a full season with no fans could almost ruin the game.

I agree. Premier League can survive it - although if other leagues start up with real fans will the world market for tv rights start to dip? EFL clubs probably have no clear idea how they will start a new season.

Hello Marmite. Why do I get the feeling....oh never mind 👋

But start it they will on August 29. A 5 week close season when rosters will change significantly. Squads paired down. New contracts to be written. Talk about a frenzy.

Sky BT might find a dip in subscriptions with recession thats going to hit millions. And the end of firestick football is about to happen.

It allowed me to complete my fanzine subscription service to people. On the same principle it allowed clubs to honour many commitments.
It has actually been possible to play safely without lots of positive tests, I didn't expect that.

For me it has really brought it home how important bums on seats are, you can only hope the top of the tree people are taking notice and its not all about massive tv deals.

It was Berlusconi who predicted having to pay fans to attend , the atmosphere of an empty stadium is just that, empty. In all fairness we don't know yet what the ELF ( or the Premier League) have planned but a season, or half season of empty stadiums could have some cataclysmic side effects. I would suggest there are a few (Premier at least) boards that may be considering playing games at neutral stadiums, in say Malaysia or Thailand perhaps, after all, an empty stadium is an empty stadium.......where's the harm....

Call me crazy but I am really looking forward to the frenzy (as long as we're in the championship of course).

During lockdown I went from wanting football back to not caring to not wanting it back to really seeing it lift this place (despite us being *****) for one.

I've been out a bit in different cities recently and it worries me how absolutely dead they are, the spiral of people worrying about health, jobs and their futures is going to have a terrible impact this next 12 months at least. Having football will give a few million people some relief a couple of times a week and I'm personally thankful of that.

It doesn't matter really, they're only kidding themselves

Unfortunately in reality erimus74, this poster has made this claim many times without an ounce of proof. He may or maybe not be correct. It is irrelevant. He accuses people of all sorts, including me in the past, yes he ***ed me off on the last board with his false lies an accusations of me being a poster i was not. Yet, now he claims people watch by a firestick and claim to be there. Well T_T name names or STFU with your unsubstantiated nonsense. Just behave ffs.

I dont think I mentioned you, melting down with paranoiao_O
No, you just accused me of being false, having another username and trying to ridicule me. Would you like me to link it, you were silly afterall. Apologies are nor your thing but you like to claim the higher ground like, bless. Not all dicks are erect though. Mwah.
