... Am I actually watching this or is it a dream

BBC's Nick Watt - ... 'Liz Truss the PM, sacked her Chancellor for agreeing with her' :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: - this is barely weeks into her Premiership

I had to rewind it, literally to make sure those were the words that came from his gob and I am not watching an old episode of Chris Morris' The Day Today

What an absolute shambles ... I thought Boris Johnson's administration was as surreal as British politics were ever going to get .. but the sh1temare just keeps going on

Over a decade of Hell under this lot .. What on Earth is going on these days?? Orwellian is not even sufficient, I feel dazed every day, it is like collectively, from the normal guy on the street to the folk who run the country, everyone is losing the plot :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Will politics ever just go back to being dull, again?? It is genuinely a massive concern seeing the state of the folk being elected into the highest offices of the land, right now

Jeremy Hunt as Chancellor is a bit more reassuring in that area as a very established MP, though his politics are almost opposite to mine, how weird is it for me to feel slightly calmed that the likes of him are now in Office ..

I am not a Tory but could picture a Mourdant/Sunak partnership being the most stable way they could go right now, perhaps their best chance vs. Starmer next GE .... is this what could force Truss out in the coming weeks?? The Conservative Party is going to have to embarrass itself once again and 2022 is hardly going to go down in history well for them.

It is only fair to call a GE, and I hope Labour have a clear and appealing plan to the public. I left the party a few years ago but will still be voting for Starmer come the time. Despite my criticism of him, perhaps this circus of late may actually see him walk into no.10 which I always said will not happen within the next decade

Guess I could be wrong! As usual :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

As someone said earlier today, if he'd been in a union she'd never have got away with it :D
I caught the news as it was breaking today, did not surprise me, made me laugh but thought I would catch up with the gossip afterward on the late news programs ... but paused for a minute thinking we are in very surreal times and got uneasy, that borderline panic-attack feeling...

Boro are fighting a relegation battle, about to appoint LC ... and the country is going to hell, apparently

Oh well. Nothing I can do about it :ROFLMAO:

What is it with the Conservatives and buses ? They've used them to publicise the Brexit NHS lie, Boris claimed his introduction of bendy buses as one of his best achievements as London Mayor and then decided he loved buses so much that he spent hours making model ones out of wine cases and now we've got Truss throwing her closest ally under one for executing the financial plan that was the cornerstone of her leadership push.

It's a great example of why Truss should be nowhere near high office, a good captain goes down with their ship, they do not leave on a lifeboat to let their second in command take the blame, Truss is basically saying do what I want but if there's any backlash or kickback you will be sacked, she campaigned on, signed off and passionately backed Kwarteng's plans and now has decided that by undertaking her policies he has to go.

Johnson has changed the way politicians behave for ever.
Lying, corruption and incompetence have become normalised and personal responsibility is nothing more than using the words…
‘yes I take personal responsibility’

Apparently the great British public have turned their back on the Tories (massive lead to Labour) but it has taken rising energy prices, the Tory press changing, and mortgage rates to make an impact.

By the time we come to an election that will also be ‘normall‘.
One thing we have learnt over the last few years is the public have short memories.

Remember - the real influencers still hate Labour and they have the financial and media power to materially impact the next election.
