I don’t care or have any opinion on this but this statement made me laugh.
"As our club grows on the global stage, the symbol that represents us needs to be able to keep pace," a press release said.
That is just some words. It doesn’t mean anything at all does it?

This is how it starts, slowly but surely the tradition will be sucked out of the club.

Any club is the fans, the clubs history from formation and the story along the way, also social history is a major part of any club.
A working mans past time and the center of the community.

This will be gone and before long the they will be playing in the superleague in Saudi

Agreed. Definately one of the better club badges/crests out there.

I even heard it being described on Radio Newcastle tonight as being: "too intricate for the digital age." Eh??
In other words: 'a simplified version is far cheaper to produce for marketing purposes'.

Personally, I hope its not too dissimilar to Leeds' chest thumping farce!

But my God, I'm already dreading what ours is going to end up looking like!!!
