I think the Victor Orta fiasco was even worse than it seemed at the time, as it made out senior directors averse to that model and we wasted so much money - with no real plan - as a result

To be fair though, I had zero time for Gill. Though he was a great importer of wines and clothes by all accounts.

I'm not just referring to Orta, but the heat that Bausor, Lamb, Beswick, Gill etc have attracted on fans forums by fans convinced they know the exact remit of their job and every area in which they're not performing.

Feel sorry for this new guy as you can almost guarantee that Warnock will at some point throw him under the bus to save his own reputation, which will only help turn the fans further against him. Hopefully he can identify a new manager as his first job...

Did Lamb get much heat for transfers? I remember some having a go when we wouldn’t pay £500k for Higgy at one point, but during the Robson era, he did pretty well with regards to transfers.

No not at all, just asking why you think it's relevant to point out that something happens at other clubs, when we're specifically talking about Middlesbrough FC on a Middlesbrough FC board amongst Middlesbrough FC fans.

I look forward to your posts pointing out that other teams lose games, don't sign every player, have ticketing issues etc when someone posts about a situation involving Middlesbrough FC.
