New scout (#anyonebutNobby)

Certainly going all in on the recruitment dept now that Scott has his feet under the table. Let's hope it bears fruit over the next few windows.
I wonder if it is much to do with Scott or more to do with Chris Jones getting down to business?

Anyone know how scouts further down line work work? Are they all freelance and report in to our scouts and get a finders fee or something?

How many scouts will we actually 'employ' as a club, as in officially on our payroll?

Do clubs still have 'scouts' watching next opposition etc, or is this seen as a more tactical role that a member of the first team analytical department would cover?

Well Scott appointed him, and has been very vocal about being able to start getting things done with the new head coach so I'd give him a bit of credit for changes with the recruitment. Maybe a chris Jones pick though. Spent last five years at Watford and sounds ambitious. Nice to see boro in the front foot anyway, hope it works out.

I presume scouting is not as simple as it used to be. There will be people in the scouting team that are basically analysts and their job is all data.

Everything will be video based on next opposition. Doesn't make sense to watch a single game when you can build up a picture over several games.

Scouting should be simple, I watch a game and pick out a player based on what I see with my own eyes, no substitute for that in my opinion 👍

Nobbys Notebook will be back next weekend guys.....Phew 📖✍️👍

Who would have thought you base a player’s ability on viewing with your own eyes?

Wow, just wow! Groundbreaking info shared by Nobby!!!!!
I guess your getting a bit twitchy when England beat Senegal.....

"We’ve no chance in the World Cup - absolutely none". 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍

Not really Norbert - neither over excited nor over worried. Get through and the quarters will be a different kettle of fish.

Tonight isn’t a walk in the park, get through and Southgate reverts to negative defensive tactics. That’s all he seemingly knows when pitching up against decent sides.
