If anyone is thinking about renewing but have been put off by the reported 3 month waiting list, it took just 7 working days from applying to receiving in the post.
Mrs and myself applied online last Tuesday. Using the photo codes from a booth in tesco. Sent old passports off the same day.
Had 3 e mails telling us what stage we were at in the process and they arrived this morning.
Didn't pay any extra for fast tracking or recorded mail.
Nice job .

My son just had to replace his passport after the dog chewed it and it was very similar.
 
I work with lots of Italians and it takes at the very least 6 months to get a passport in Italy.

They are always amazed we can renew in a few weeks or in emergencies the same day - they are appalled at the cost however.
 
Similar. 4 weeks approx. Then decided to holiday in the UK as we couldn't afford to go over the seas. :ROFLMAO::cry:
 
Had about 2 weeks for a first time passport for my son which was great. Although I almost had to rearrange plans in 2021 after waiting 4 months for my own, got my passport 10 days before due to travel.

You sure it wasn't a bus pass you applied for ?
 
Mine took about 4 days from receipt of my old passport. I think there was a thread on it a few months ago
 
2 weeks for me in March...week longer for my daughters as she's under 15 so had to get someone to follow links to verify her. Read up on it when we did it....says re-newing was only taking 3 weeks max and it was only something like 0.3 applications taken the maximum length of 3 months
 
Mine turned up very quickly, but the postie bent it when forcing it through the letter box, which is irritating.

Another 8 years to go till I can get a new undamaged burgundy one.
