Is there an anti climax about the new board?

I know not everyones on here yet and it will take time but it's a little bit block24ish...

I wasnt wanting bells and whistles just a stable forum that didnt crack under pressure on match day....

I'm hoping this one survives when the numbers increase though...

I definitely prefer this over the old one, can’t see there being many issues with people switching

If people choose to block ads on their phone then I will have to pack in - simple as that.
As mentioned by TheFair86 a while ago. There was a suggestion about a paid for premium membership for people who do not want ads. If that was available as an option people might pay for it to keep the board going. Rather than employ an ad blocker.

It isn't easy for me to apply this Spanishman - there is a complex triangle between myself (and my developer), fansonline and google. It isn't something I was able to do in advance and to be honest we are still experimenting with regards to the income. It is complicated, sadly. I would like to develop this sort of thing, maybe later in the year and maybe even an option to have a stripped back mobile option (if people want this).
But, what price would people put on a premium ad free membership? I know what some newspapers charge. But this isn't a newspaper, obviously.

I understand. The idea that was suggested of combining it with the pdf fanzine might appeal to some people in this digital age.

I dont have any issues with the adverts that i can see...

its starting to grow on me but there was an anti climax, after waiting 20 odd years for the update ;-)

Rob, I'm very critical of the way ads overtake some sites, but I have to applaud you on the way you've implemented them on here. They don't get in the way of the content at all so there's no need to block them.

If anyone is using an adblocker then I'd suggest whitelisting this site.
