Mitch Cook on Neil:
“I’ve been on the end of some terrible b********** from Neil, and the next minute he’d have his arm flung around you and be buying you a pint of beer,” recalled Cook.
“He was ruthless – he’d bring in good players and if they didn’t fit he’d get rid of them. He always seemed to be able to do the right thing at the right time –
he got hold of us bunch of ragamuffins, and we delivered.”

"Theatre of Greens..."
Warnock guided the Pilgrims to Wembley for the first time in the clubs history back in 1996 where the Pilgrims beat Darlington 1-0 to win promotion from the fourth tier courtesy of a Ronnie Mauge goal.
Warnock’s time at Home Park was all too brief – he was only in charge for 92 games, winning 37 and losing 31 – but his passion and the way he embraced himself into the culture of Plymouth - and fabric of Argyle – endeared him to the Green Army.
It’s why Warnock, who still retains a home in South East Cornwall, is held so dear today, almost a quarter of a century on from his acrimonious departure from the Theatre of Greens.
