Neil Bausor - lets see how this pans out

Never liked the guy. Might sound harsh but there has always been something about the guy that seems shifty to me.

Obviously Neil W will have given him a shopping list. Wonder how things will go down if he cant get the signings done.

Im assuming his appointment as manager will have been on a 'what i say goes' kind of understanding. 'Missing our targets' has been an issue in the past. Cant see it floating well with Warnock...

I imagine it's a bit more realistic than ones he's had in the past. Pulis would take any old crap when it came to big heffers at the back and stodgy midfielders. Creative players - if you're not Lionel Messi you can sit on the bench.
Karanka wanted players who didn't want to come here or whose clubs didn't want to sell.
Warnock will probably be happy with a few free transfers and championship journeymen.

I always find it odd that fans can reach such a damning assessment about club employees, when they known pretty much next to nothing about them.

Keith Lamb was roundly castigated for his role at the club, despite bringing in the most talented group of players we've been lucky to watch. he also went on to a key role withe the FA, so his reputation must have had some grounding.

Gibson is a very successful businessman and he was directly responsible for recruiting Bauser and he's still here, so he must be doing something right.

Yep. Made some pretty good signings under Karanka in the championship too. Easy to forget. Tomlin, Clayton, Nugent, Ramirez, Bamford on loan, Stuani etc.

Ironops- Nothing to do with any topic on here -but is your avatar the proper club badge of Middlesbrough Ironopolis? I am really curious as i have always wondered how our history would have changed had they survived.- And if you look at today level of debt, they went under for owing peanuts.

No body is happy when the club fail to get their targets. And I'm sure some of the signings have been a total gamble in desperation, possible 2nd or 3rd choices perhaps. There are many different factors why players may chose not to come to the Boro, But hopefully with NW in charge, we will be a better attraction to some of the targets UTB.

Be even more positive, and appreciate the fact that several of those players' names fitted into the La Bamba song. 👍
