My friend's son (16) has had it. Took 6 days to get over it. Was up & down too - temperture lower & then back up again.

It's scary when they're poorly, when my son was 7 weeks old he was rushed into hospital first thing in the morning on Christmas Eve with Bronchiolitis and was kept in for 3 days so wasn't a pleasant first Christmas for him (or us of course). Hopefully your lad will be fine, and I'm sure he will be, just don't take any chances and as soon as you get concerned phone the NHS helpline and talk to them.

Hoping this all passes very quickly and with little incident for you all.

Hope he makes a speedy recovery, fella. I know you'll keep a close eye on him. As a few have said, I hated it when my kids were ill, I'd rather it was me- sure you feel the same. Sending all my best from Buxton
