Spent loads of time there when I was a kid. My uncle used to drive our family down there in his car. My dad only had a small motorbike. So we relied on my uncle to take us on day trips.

Where did you go on day trips?

Whitby not too far from my home village either - had family there and spent a lot of time with them

Fairly sure I saw that ship in the marina in Malaga a while ago?

Scarborough, Pickering, Redcar! It was different back then. The Boro town centre comment was a joke but there was a bit of truth there too. I had cousins who lived in Berner Street right next to Ayresome. More relatives in Eston too. It seemed ok back in the 70s
