Support with your credit cards and loans during the coronavirus outbreak

Hello Mr 66

We understand the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on household incomes is worrying and you may be concerned about what it could mean for you and your finances.

We want to reassure you we’re here to help, and to tell you what we’re doing to support you during these difficult times.
How we can help you
If you’re going to struggle to make your monthly credit card or personal loan payments because of COVID-19, you might like to consider a payment holiday.

We're working to put a simple online process in place, so you can apply for a payment holiday of up to 3 months without affecting your credit rating and without the need to speak to us. We’ll contact you again when this is available to use, which should be within a few days.

It’s important to know that payment holidays are subject to approval and may not be right for everyone. Because you’ll be borrowing for longer and interest is still charged, the amount you repay overall will increase. Monthly payments will be recalculated at the end of your break.

now the way i read this is theyre gonna let me take a break from paying but charging me for the privilege, in effect more business and profit for them

it wasnt so long ago these brought the last global meltdown into play and then got mailed out at a cost to tax payers (im not sure how that actually worked but its something that seems to be mentioned a lot)

its a bit rich
