Some of those look a bit lower than I thought. But Jesus that's a lot of money on players to be added to a CL winning squad, to then be mid-table.

He was about to sign for Arsenal for half that, they’ve come in and offered them double, complete desperation.

I don’t think Arsenal where anywhere near signing him for half that. Sure they were quoted closer to £100m? Assuming Chelsea’s deal is structured better. Was apparently valued at a million a year ago though!

They've signed a few players on extremely long contracts lately, I assume it's to space out the fee and avoid FFP.

They've also just bought Nkunku for £65m but he won't be joining them until the summer

Chelsea offered more money upfront than Arsenal and fair play to Arsenal they stuck to their bid and left it at that saying if the player didn't want to come then it's no big loss as they seem to be only interested in players properly dedicated to the cause.

Zinchenko for example could have easily stayed at Man City and collected medals for part time playing minutes but moved on to Arsenal.

I think Arsenal will win the league this season, especially if they beat City in at least one of the two league games they've got against them still to play.
