Breaks my heart watching that interview.
Mogga will always epitomise the Spirit of '86 and is a genuine Boro legend in my eyes. I was devastated that his time as manager ended as it did, tarnishing his reputation with some of our more ill-informed fans, and I've never really forgiven the club for not really marking his return to the Riverside in his first visit as Blackburn manager.
I know that Blackburn's owners "are what they are" (see what I did there?), but it does seem a shoddy way to treat any employee, let alone one of your most senior ones and the longest serving manager in the Championship. I suppose they must be worried that the club with the 9th lowest wage bill and 9th lowest total revenue (but 9th highest directors' remuneration) in the league might only finish 8th this season.
