Motorhome holiday

We were in France in June last year. Stayed at 7 sites and most expensive was £24. Most under £20.
France is ideal for motorhomes. There's hardly any traffic as long as you avoid Paris, and there are numerous small villages you can stay in for free, often in locations that would cost £££ if you stopped in a hotel. You certainly used to be able to park overnight in Disneyland for 10euros if you had an annual pass.

Germany has some great locations too, particularly around the Rhine/Moselle region. We saw some very fancy motorhomes that must have cost £300k+ with a car inside them(therefore avoiding the one issue we always had), parking up on the riverside for 6eur a night. It's just much more of an accepted way of life on the Continent.

Scandinavia would be a good place for a circular tour. You'd need to cross into Holland (unless you can get on a boat from Immingham to Norway). I can suggest a route/itinerary for anyone that fancies it. Norwegian west coast, mountains, glaciers, wild lapland, then the Bothnian coast to Stockholm via the High coast. Brill stuff. Loads of places to park up and the camp sites are ace. Our village has a dedicated car park by the beach for motorhomes ... with free facilities.
