Morsy & Luongo

No one really complained much when Morsy was sold. He never pulled up any trees while he was here. He doesn't look great when I see him play for Ipswich but he is fundamental to the way they play. He stops quick breaks on transition, quite often by commiting a foul. The rumour was he was sold beacause he was conspiracy anti-vax nut and was our PFA rep at the time and rubbed the wrong people up. How true that is who knows.

Sometimes it just clicks for certain players, at certain times, in certain formations. Doesn't mean people necessarily did something wrong being unable to unlock that potential when they were at one particular club.

"The Chuba Paradox"

There wasn't teams beating down our door to take either player, when we sold them, both had to drop a division, and we didn't have to break the bank to sign either when we did, which shows there were many, many clubs who shared our view on their limited ability.

I complained when we sold him. The problem with players like Morsy is the average fan does not see what he does to stop the opposition and the constant little things done to help the team. Mustoe suffered a similar problem for his first 4 years at the Boro. Where ever Morsy has gone, those teams tend to do better.

I got the impression Morsy was sold to raise cash for Payero and there are posters on here who are saying our recruitment has not improved in the last 2.5 years - unbelievable!
