Morning Erimus74, but sadly not a good one, another Sunday, another miserable weekend watching the Boro. Mr Gibson will be reaping what he himself has sown if the status quo continues. A few of us recognised the alarm bells before a ball was kicked this season. The Gazette has finally put it in print. We are sleepwalking to relegation, which in my opinion will see a huge drop off in take up of his early bird ST funding and more financial problems. I don’t see a class of 86 awaiting to be unleashed if the worst happens and I fear the worst now. Yesterday saw many supporters wake up and smell the coffee. As much as i admire the loyalty and hope fans have every August, it is no substitute for reality.
A cracking post from the heart coluka, you have seen at 1st hand, travelling long distance to both home & away games, the decline in the club
Sadly too
Change is urgently needed to arrest this slump and the faux positivity from the club, its staff and players can be seen for what it really is now, cheap words. We were second best all over, barely won a second ball, devoid of idea, spirit and fight. Two games against the bottom three and in around 190 minutes of football have failed to register a single solitary effort on target. That is the most telling stat of all.
Leeds and Forest up next and unless we see a change of approach with every player giving their all for one another we could well be in the bottom 3 come next weekend. The club seems like a rudderless broken down ship in an ocean of fog and I for one am saddened to see how our plight is mostly self inflicted. The 7th of May 2016 was less than four years ago and yet here we stand staring into the abyss of a possible return to league 1. I can only pray that Mr Gibson is alive to the risks and formulates a plan. Right now I would happily accept finishing 21st. Now where did I put my Diazepam.
