Would we have a chance of signing him if Plymouth were relegated?

Or is he going to go straight to the premier league?

We can do much better, therefor don’t see how he fits into a premier league side.

Was absolutely useless at Swansea only about a year ago.

It would probably take over £12m - didn't a top Italian Club make a big bid.

Since 2018 we haven't paid more than £4.6m for a player - have we?

I don't think you can build a good side by picking off other championship club's better players.

They'll want a fortune for them (pick your first choice 11 for us, and ask which of them you'd part with for less than £5m), and they'll only sign for us if PL clubs aren't interested.
Expensive, inefficient and ineffective way of proceeding.

Yeah I don’t think we’re shopping in that market any more tbh.

We’ll be looking for the “next” Morgan Whittaker, ie like the one Plymouth paid £1m for in the summer, rather than the established championship player he is now.

He would be a perfect Rogers / Akpom replacement though. Hopefully Danksy has similar gems lined up

Rogers was a Man City player.

If Whittaker carries on and makes a career in the top flight please feel free to hoof this and call me a goose mate

I just don’t see it

He will almost certainly leave if they go down.

The value will depend on who is interested - not convinced a prem club will buy him without another good season in a decent championship team.

He is the sort of player we should be asking about and waiting until the price comes down to our range and if it doesn't... move on.

Morgan Rogers was banging in ONE league goal last season for Blackpool, and now he’s playing regularly for a top 4 prem side

No idea how much Lazio's bid was that was rejected, but I assume it would be more than we would able or willing to pay.

I think Lazio were taking the pish in Jan with a few cheeky low ball offers. They did similar with Clarke at Sunderland. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was just a few mill up front with a load of add ons

The three teams who go up, along with the likes of Brentford, Everton, Palace will all go for him. Will end up around £20 million most likely. Young, English and has all the physical attributes. We have no chance.
