Millwall pubs

Any ideas for pre match drinks before match. We are probably looking at London Bridge pubs area. Are MSS meeting up anywhere.
Cheers 🍺🍺⚽

The Market Porter at Borough Market is quite popular for real ales.

None round Millwall, London Bridge is the area you want.

Barrow Boy & Banker (Crap pub, no away colours), The Mudlark The George, The Old Kings Head, Market Porter, Redwoods Sports Bar, Belushis, The Shipwright Arms and if you're missing parmos then The Rose is "home of the Bermondsey Parmo"

The Market Porter also doesn't allow away colours, or any colours at all for that matter, or didn't at the last count. They refused to serve a mate of mine and all he had on was a small Boro badge.

Really? I've not seen that in the past when using it before Millwall or Charlton away? Must be a new thing? i don't usually wear colours tbh, but have defo seen others in there that did.

It's a great boozer, one of my faves as it goes, proper pub! Good range of beers and right by the market if you want some decent scran too.

I'd add to this, the Rake at the back of Borough Market and the Woolpack on Bermondsey St are decent shouts as well. The Woolpack also used to do it's own parmo - don't know if it still does.

Another option is all the microbrews on the Bermondsey mile. I've done that on a couple of occasions before Millwall and walked to the ground with all the Millwall lot.

This was two seasons ago.

If you're willing to fight with the tourists who think wheeling a massive case round the market is a great idea, which I have to do on a daily basis as my office is round the corner.
I don't mind the hustle and bustle to be honest, Completely get why others would hate it though. (y)

I’ve never had any problems getting in the MP in the past, but I suppose places change throughout time.

MSS suggests going in one of the local pubs around London Bridge
Their train info is
Getting to The Den

The closest station to The Den is South Bermondsey Station, located 5 minutes away. There is a path directly from the station to the away end turnstiles. London Bridge run a regular service to South Bermondsey from Platform 15 which takes 5 minutes. London Bridge is located on the Jubilee Tube Line.

The times from 2pm onwards are below:

14:01 – 14:05
14:14 – 14:18
14:31 – 14:35
14:44 – 14:48

Barrow Boy and Banker is not a crap pub in my opinion. I don't wear a Boro shirt at away grounds. Its very safe and clean. Serves a lot of Fuller's ales (which is the best London brewer in my opinion) better than average food, with dedicated food area. It has a lot of room as its on 2 floors and has plenty of staff serving. Its the closest pub to London Bridge Station. It has a big TV screen, but its doesn't dominate the pub. It is pricey though. £6.50/£7 a pint.

The Barrow Boy and Banker is approx 250 metres from London Bridge Station (see below). It is probably closer that the previous pubs mentioned, before my post. Quite a few Boro fans have used when I have gone to Millwall in the past. Reading Lizards Jumpers post it sounds like there are number of pubs very close to the Station and if he works there he will know best. I do remember now seeing a bar in the station approach, but it was dark and wasn't very inviting and I didn't consider going in.
