Milan v Newcastle

I said I fancy them to win their group when it was first drawn.

I’ll take them doing okay in the CL as long as their league form suffers.

BBC 6.30 news presenter (the chubby one) said last night that an important football match was taking place on Tuesday and for one moment I thought she was talking about Boro playing at Sheffield Wed (silly me) but it was about the Geordie lads and Shearer and Bobby Robson etc etc etc.
Made a note in diary not to go anywhere near the BBC Geordie News on Tuesday evening.

To be honest I don’t care if they do win these days. These kinds of clubs just feel so separate to the rest of us now. Every point they do collect, every trophy they do inevitably win, is dripping in blood and should be prefaced with a sentence about where their funding comes from.

I was unfortunate to see some of them interviewed on BBC this morning, one of them, thicker than a whale omelette, was saying how it's great to be rid of an owner like Mike Ashley....

They really have no self awareness when it comes to football do they?

I don't think it is just them, As sad as it sounds, I think it is football fans in general and you can see that on the Gibson out threads. A lot of fans are not concerned about where the money comes from as long as it brings success.

Surely though they should just all be thinking 'stick to the football, don't mention the owners'? It's almost as if they are leaning into the Saudi ownership and glorifying in it.

I agree with you but like I said above, fans of every club demand success, want action if it doesn't happen and are not bothered about who is providing the money.

I don't think I would watch the Boro again if our money was coming from the PIF.
