What happened to this idea? Still just waiting for Covid restrictions to lift? Thought it might have been pencilled in for this summer.

I know Dave Roberts/Red Army TV was working very hard at this but no one wanted it to go ahead unless a full house was possible in the stadium and a full house possible at a big screen in town.

Dave Roberts - who was doing much of the work with Mikkel Beck is now working for FIFA - am sure that is why we have not heard any updates on this.

Those two seasons will happen and then we’ll be in the season of the 150 year anniversary.

Personally I’d have the charity match in the summer of 2025 to launch the new kits for the forthcoming season..
