Mike Ashley

I agree, I live away from the Boro and given the choice to watch the game for a fee, be that £14.99, then I would happily pay it as it means I have more chance of watching all the games instead of the 6 times we are live on TV and the 2 times I can justify the cost of going up there.

I understand the anger because season ticket holders are being made to pay for the games, but isn't that the fault of the clubs rather than the Premier League, surely if a club wanted to they could say to season ticket holders here's a voucher to watch the game???

I think season ticket holders should have a choice, they should get a refund for each game you are unable to attend, which is what I thought had already been agreed, minus the stream fee if you choose to watch it/accept it, if not then a full refund, I just don't understand the problem but I accept for some for whatever reason they have a problem with it.

These games aren't aimed at neutral fans, if Boro charged £15 we would all have to make are own decision to pay or not, for me the extra £5 is still a lot cheaper then my usual £34 - £38 ticket and it allows me to watch when otherwise I couldn't, so I'd pay and view the other £5 as what I would spend towards travel or something to eat at the game.

In the circumstances it's given me a choice and a cheaper one, but I guess we all see it differently, nothing wrong in that.

Yes but even you would be a little peeved if Boro were hardly televised as the allocated featured match and therefore we had to shell out the fee a lot more than say Norwich or Swansea who were on nearly every week (and therefore their fans didn’t have to pay the fee as much).

Well that’s what it’s like for a Burnley fan as opposed to being a Spurs fan at the moment.

Not no really as Boro and similar clubs would hardly ever be the featured match which you would receive as part of your subscription, so you would pay to go to the game itself or not watch it at all. As far as I understand all clubs are guaranteed a set amount of televised games which you receive as part of your subscription, that number won't change under this arrangement.

This way you get an option to watch a match that isn't part of your subscription when you can't go the game and either you choose to pay for it or not.

You missed the point I was trying to make. Ill end it there. You and I have a different view of football I fear.

Maybe I do or maybe I don't, for me it's not about football, it's about what I am or not prepared to pay to access something that is being made available.
