Unbelievable job
If Derby stay up, have they really been punished by the EFL?
Breaching the rules should mean automatic relegation and being deducted 21 points would usually mean that. There is a good chance that Derby will start next season in the Championship on a sound footing and be able to compete for promotion - Is that fair on Wycombe?
Unbelievable job
Either one should mean automatic relegation for any team(s).They've only been deducted 9 points for breaching FFP rules.
12 points have been deducted for entering administration and that was entirely self inflicted.
No its not, agree with you Norman, but what is right & proper, if Derby were demoted the owner can just walk away causing all the damage & its the fans who have to pick up the pieces & will suffer badly from itIf Derby stay up, have they really been punished by the EFL?

The owners already walked away and caused damage to the club and Ashley won't have a leg to stand on claiming money back from Morris. No its not, agree with you Norman, but what is right & proper, if Derby were demoted the owner can just walk away causing all the damage & its the fans who have to pick up the pieces & will suffer badly from it
The rule has been put in place & has been carried out
Hopefully Ashley will fight Morris in the courts to reimburse him the money he paid to Boro & Wycombe
Ashley mostly delivered premier league football at Newcastle and walked the championship whenever needed. I don’t see the problem. I wouldn’t want Derby to have that success. This is a win win for Boro.
We get some sort of settlement from money bags Mike Ashley and Derby get saddled with him for next few years.
That really would give them something to moan about!
Now I do agree with this, punishment doesn't fit the crime. They should not have started this season in the Champo. The penalties are paltry (nine points) for FFP breaches on a sustained and cynical scale.
The 12 additional points punishment for voluntary administration was taken in a calculated way.
Rooney has done a magnificent job, whether they stay up or not, and I have nothing against the team either, but if Derby stay up it merely reinforces that the punishment for persistent cheating has been woefully inadequate.
The punishment can't be changed after the offence for Derby (Adi's point in earlier threads), but there needs to be a reconstruction of the framework, process and penalties so that cheats like Morris are deterred or else destroyed. 9 points penalty for what they did is ridiculous.

as much as Ashley has his knockers, I do think he would be the man to sort out the mess at Derby. he’s ruthless and gets the job done cheaply. Before completing take over at Derby. According to the Sun.
