“ It is understood the Government wants the tracking system to be up and running on Teesside next week ahead of a further easing of lockdown measures on June 1 as some children return to schools and the potential re-opening of some non-essential shops.”

People won't download the app. They already refuse to behave as asked so why would anyone think they will do this just so that someone can then come to their door and tell them to self-isolate?

How did one sign up for this track and trace scheme. I haven't seen it advertised anywhere. How many working on the Teesside location are local. It would be of great help knowing the areas and locations.

The app is just part of track and trace. More important is testing followed by interviews followed by targeted quaranteen. CCTV, GPS and credit card transactions are used in Korea, given it'll take a copper months to put together that info can't see that happening over here.

They used recruitment consultants to hire people. In Korea they had less than 200 contact tracers and used staff already in place in medical organisations. I imagine most will be working from home, interviews will be via telephone.
