Nah this is about getting rid of rubbish, rather than paying to watch it.Is this like the Boro's early bird offer?
I dbut i've been trying to get the wife to leave this country for years to no avail. I am sick to death of getting the p!ss ripped out of usThanks for the info Mr Lodger although I think there is only me, you Rob that actually live in Boro oin here
Shockingly bad isn't it. They just don't seem to give a toss. What are the people like me and my elderly parents supposed to do when we cant afford to pay for this scheme??

The streets are going to be full of bins that people haven't the room for.Quicker you order, quicker you will be on the list. This is a Herculean operation, things may not go smoothly for everyone, quicker your in the register easier it will be for us as a council and yourself as a resident so you know when the new bins are arriving and your old ones are taken away.

There's a lot of people without access to a car.Compost? Split cost with neighbour? Bag it and go to haverton hill?
Looking at our street, which is a small one, we have a number of elderly people with large gardens, no car and fairly steep access to the house. I'm not sure of their financial situations but it's not a wealthy area.It must be a tiny % of the local population that have a garden large enough to require regular green waste collection, but without the means to pay £3.50 a month or access to a car
Where's this Rifle, Great Ayton ?Yes I did prefer the green sacks to the big bin myself too
I still use them round the garden then dump them In the green bin which stays on the drive
Yeah righto, you must have a really sad lifeThis is in Boro mate, not the house in Ayton. Already pay for green waste there
I thought I was Coulby
And me well TS8. Bin requested today, exciting timesThanks for the info Mr Lodger although I think there is only me, you Rob that actually live in Boro oin here
It seems like for the first year it will be a case of if you have a brown bin you have paid. There will be a sticker on the bin in subsequent years. I’m not sure whether these are NFC or QR types to link them to the specific house or just a simple label. I’m sure we’ll see a number of brown bin thefts on the estates anyway.I don't believe the bins are "chipped" as stated. How are council going to police this ? I wouldn't trust them to run a bath.
Yes I can foresee it causing more problems than it solves. Binnapping and brown bin misappropriation spring to mind.It seems like for the first year it will be a case of if you have a brown bin you have paid.
