Middlesbrough playing in all white on Saturday to highlight knife crime

I imagine they’ll be auctioning these off after the game, along with the last 5 away shirts.

"The white kit won't be available for supporters to buy"

So just like the other 3 then.
The shirts will be raffled for charity.
But the whole point on Saturday is for everyone to join in and make a powerful statement by not wearing red. Kids included I hope because we want them to be protected from knife crime as they grow into teenagers.
And no it looks white not pink when you see it live.

The programme will not be red and the fanzine will not be red. Obviously the seats will still be red etc and the physical structure of the Riverside but on Saturday as much as possible will not be red to make a really powerful statement. The most important thing is the players playing in a white unmarked strip for the first time ever or since Victorian times. But it would be superb if for one match every fan left their red behind at home - what a way to show awareness and also a determination from everyone to prevent knife crime.

It is a shame that the red on the Sky Bet EFL badge could not be whited out too. If we can white out our club crest, why not the sleeve badge?
