Born in Stockton on the 30th of October 1913, Fenton started his professional career with the Boro in 1932 after transferred from South Bank making a scoring debut at home to Blackburn on the 6th May 1933, Boro winning 4-0, ironically MF replacing George Camsell, who scored two goals that day, as Boro's leading goalscorer.
During the WW2 he continued to score goals for the Boro & also guested for Port Vale, Notts County, Rochdale & Wolves & Blackpool, after the war Everton wanted to sign him but he returned to Teesside where he continued his excellent scoring record, ending as top goalscorer for the next four seasons
Micky Fenton, registered as No288 when he made his debut in 1933 & from that date to 1950 went on to score 162 goals in 269 games for the Boro, including scoring a 5 in one game, 4 goals in another & 9 hattricks, joining the club staff in 1948
