Michael Carrick Before talking today ahead of the Coventry Away Play Offs...
Q: Darragh Lenihan talked about trying to approach the game like any other game and also how you have given a message to players to enjoy their football. But how do you make sure they can enjoy rather than get too nervous this Sunday?
MC: I think the enjoyment one is a funny one because really we are in it to win. You have got to express yourself and play with that confidence. I think the enjoyment, ie go any enjoy it, go and enjoy but really we are playing to win. So, there is definitely that element. But playing with that expression and that freedom to go and trust yourself to play and not tensing up and worrying about the result, there is a big difference. I think you enjoy it once you win and you come off the back of it more than anything else.
Q: Obviously there is going to be a tremendous atmosphere over the two games. For all the Boro fans going to Coventry what role will they have in the tie?
MC: A huge role, a huge role. It is really, really important for us to feel that support and to feel that and hear that noise in them kind of moments and momentum and the roars and the support to give the boys that energy and that boost when we need it and that adrenaline that we all kind of crave and need to feed off. So, we will definitely need that going down there and I'm sure the numbers and the noise that will be generated on Wednesday night is something that we need and will feed off for sure.
