MFC Statement

Derby County 'disappearing' is just a nonsense. It will be there in some form or other after all this is over. It is a modern stadium with a 25000 ish fan base generating big money every week.
And thats it. No one is going to go in with a wrecking ball.

Even relegaition 6 divisions will not destroy it.
Remember Rangers ?

Don't want to be anti Boro in any way but how can we state that we wold have been in the play offs with any certainty, Matter of opinion isnt it ?
And then its more dodgy to state that we would have won the play offs and got the 40mil+ from being in the PL

Because if their punishment was swift rather than dragged on and on, then a points deduction that season would've seen us above them. Additionally they gained an advantage on the field that they would not have had without cheating.

I don't know why the Derby fans don't get this simple principle

IF Middlesbrough / Wycombe stop their claim and Derby are sold to NewCo / owners

There's NO Derby County to sue as that company (who we have an issue with) doesn't exist - this is why Gibson is doing this

100% behind him - they're essentially trying to be sold, then all their old debts / issues will legally be gone

The best part of this statement is it destroys the credibility of the Administrators claims that Boro are forcing the club under.

It correctly points out their flip flopping stance, it can't both be frivolous AND scaring off potential buyers.

The case is simply being used by the Administrators to buy time and sympathy, while diverting fans anger away from them.

for me - is it fair to say that the financial irregularities (cheating) by Derby directly resulted in them getting at least 1 more point than Boro?

would they have been able to sign certain players, who scored goals to win points, if they had acted legally?

Martyn Waghorn by himself was directly responsible for 9 additonal points that season with goals and assists that were decisive in results.

He also scored the opening goal against West Brom in their victory in the final game of the season where they pipped us to 6th.

and so there is the link to financial wrong doing and points gained to reach the playoffs

Some chatter on Twitter (I know I know) that the administrators are solely working for Morris (yes, him again) to rinse as much money for himself as possible. So not entirely in the club's best interest there, and certainly with no regard or respect of Boro's claim which has sat unanswered for a year, hoping it'll go away, or Gibson will blink first.

You should see it on TWITTER - they keep posting our poor run of form in the last 6 days of that season (which is fair enough) - but fail to mention that Waghorn was responsible for 9 points for them

As fans... they are really thick I'm sorry to say

I still can't get my head around them using the stadium (currently valued at £81m) and the administrators continually receiving gate receipts, when we had Ayresome locked.

That's the problem with Derby, their stadium is both high value and worthless depending on who is looking.

It's owned by Mel Morris (shell company) who presumably has a contract with Derby to host games with gate receipts going directly to Derby but not the costs. So basically there's no financial loss in hosting games and the stadium is not part of the administration.
