So far, there seems to be a bit more disposable income around than the bad old days of the 80s. Maybe inflated by a lot of retirees having money in the bank and bringing the grandkids, or those well paid working for the Government in one capacity or another.
I’m sure that will change post general election though and some have to make changes.

It does seem that way. I'm sure a lot of people make sacrifices so that they can buy a ST and watch Boro.

Applaud each and every one of them

But to continually rinse these fans? Not good.

I've read all the threads and posts and whilst I totally 'get' the fury about the price rises, my personal thought is that the timing, the cold take it or leave it attitude AND to no small extent the recent form allied to dismal player transfers is just as damaging.

Would the furore be as great if, the renewal had been later than last year, not earlier, along with an acceptance that it wasn't good news but needed? Probably not, but this way it makes the club look like imbeciles who don't give a damn.

If you want a full stadium, incentive it financially for new families esp.
If you want to retain customers, put some thought , effort , appreciation and graft into it.
If you want new customers.. work hard to get them.
Make it as easy as possible to get people on board .

The thing is, I can’t for one second think that the club - Gibson, Bausor, Helena Bowman or Yvonne Ferguson - wouldn’t have expected this backlash. They cannot be that naive and just assume that people will renew regardless?

The deadline is bizarre, but I’m certain they’ll extend it. Maybe they always planned to, just to show how much they care.

The Head of Business Operations and then head of Supporter Services?

Not sure I said they had a say in ticket pricing, but in those roles they’ll certainly be involved in the discussions of communicating them.

It’s really sad to think of the contrast from last season. I can’t remember the fans being behind the team to that extent in a very long time. That’s all completely gone as well as any realistic chance of going up for a long time as well
