We're now launching the next phase of our rollout of digital ticketing in time for Boro's next home match against Norwich City next midweek.
We began introducing digital ticketing at the Riverside Stadium in stages from the start of the 2023/24 season.
It’s secure, fast and easy to use – you simply download your Season Card to your mobile phone or other digital device. Powered by Near-Field Communication (NFC), it uses the same technology which is already widely in operation elsewhere in day-to-day life, such as contactless payments.
A digital Season Card only needs to be downloaded once, and can then be used in the same way as a physical card, tapping it to the scanner as you enter the turnstiles on matchday. You can also download multiple digital Season Cards to one device, for example if you have children that attend the match with you.
The latest phase sees digital ticketing introduced for SEASON cardholders in BLOCKS 1 - 7 (WEST & SOUTH WEST LOWER) along with BLOCKS 65 - 76 (WEST & SOUTH WEST UPPER).
Season cardholders in these areas can download their Digital Season Card to the wallet of their mobile phone or other digital device now.
These supporters will have received communication from the club with further details.
Existing physical Season Cards will remain activated, and can continue to be used should a supporter not wish to opt in to digital ticketing.
The areas where Digital Ticketing has already been launched include:
- New Season cardholders and seat moves/price changes for 2023/24
- North Stand Season cardholders
- East Stand Block 36-43 Season cardholders (excludes Generation Red Family Zone)
I am one of those who is ready for digital ticketing, what should I do?
We have set up a help section which has more information on how digital ticketing works, and answers many frequently asked questions. Our help section includes:
- guides on how to download the digital Season Card to your mobile device on both Apple and Android.
- a match day guide, containing some useful information on what to do when you get to the Riverside.
- an FAQs page to help troubleshoot any issues and answer any questions you may have.
There will be a help point at the Riverside on match day, and stewards on hand to assist should you have any problems. We recommend getting set up as soon as possible, in plenty of time ahead of our next home match.
