MFC Official: Martin Payero - First Day [Video 6:05]

Liking the look of this guy. He has a look in his that says he means business. Hopefully we sell him to man city for 100m in a couple of seasons. Lol.
 
You can’t tell much from that, but he looks pretty good physically for a number 10. Hopefully he will settle in and adapt to the league quickly.

You would think they’d have Leo or someone translating wouldn’t you? Hopefully the fact he’s not there means he’s working on another deal or two.
 
I particularly enjoyed the 10 second close up of his water bottle complete with M.P initials on the top.

Jeez, what next, a close up of the laundry labels on Warnock's Y-Fronts! Surely they could have had him pinging a few free kicks into the top corner, to get us a bit more excited. (Sorry Neil, your tighty whities don't cut it).

It's not winning any Oscar's, but I suppose he looks physically fit and reasonably happy. Looking forward to seeing him play! 👍
 
Clearly can’t speak a word of English, I really hope the club have put more consideration in to this other than to use Google translate on a mobile phone to Blackwell. That video was just bloody awkward and unprofessional, there was laughter in the background and a few insincere fist bumps to make him feel worse. The lad needs embracing quick or he will be done before he has started.
 
He does seem a bit nervous but if you've ever travelled alone and been the only person who doesn't speak the lingo you'd understand why... It's hard because you can't be yourself or express anything, so you tend to overthink a lot more. I really hope the players and club can help as much as they can as it's in everyone's best interest.

Other than Leo is there anyone else who speaks Spanish at the club?

Enjoyed that. He'll be fine. He's not the first footballer to play in a country where he doesn't speak the language.

Although you do wonder if the club couldn't have found a local Spanish teacher / speaker and given them 50 quid for the day to help him out until Leo gets back, especially with all the media stuff! I guess we're cutting our cloth a bit tighter in the champo, in the PL you'd probably have player liaisons like that on hand.

My mate was the English teacher at Malaga CF for a few seasons, loved it.
