While it's owner is gifting £20,000 to the "Tory" Ben Houchen. Both in the matter of a few months.

Not sure what your point is? Stephen Gibson can not spend money if he lays people off?
My point is, he perceved as a man of the people, men of the people don't lay staff off while making huge donations to a party that contributed to the reason for the staff having to be laid off in the first place.

What if Steve Gibson thinks donating money to Ben houchen will improve the area

we don’t his reasons for his donation so it’s wrong to assume his reasons, and quite frankly he should be allowed to spend his personal money on what he wants

The tories aren’t responsible for the football bubble

Sir Steve Gibson lost the plot a few years ago when he supported the snake James Wharton in the Stockton South constituency.

Don't believe all that clap-trap about Gibson being a man of the people. Laying off minimum wage Teessiders while at the same time authorising the 'over payment' of bang average players to the tune of thousands of pounds a week shows his true colours.

I'm only surprised he's not bunging Houchen significantly more.

Donations made to Ben Houchen go straight to the Conservative party? 20,000 is not a huge donation for Gibson.

He contributed to Bens fund because he knew Neil warnock was coming to save us from a fate worse than death:
Houchen bought Teesside Airport back into public ownership - so that flights could be introduced to Newquay to transport our Manager in waiting, home and back on a night.
That 20k will more than pay for just a lick of paint in the departure lounge;)(y)

He also made that donation over a month before the country shut down and entered a global economic crisis.

I highly doubt he was predicting the sheer scale of the fallout from the pandemic when he made the donation, or that staff would be made redundant because of it.

Either way, it's also his money, he can do what he wants with it.
