On Sunday 23rd July 2023, MFC Foundation are launching their inaugural Memory Walk in association with Middlesbrough Football Club starting at 10am at the Riverside Stadium. This 3.5km circular route starts and ends at the Riverside Stadium, with a chance to walk around the pitch and leave a message to a loved one on the Ayresome Park gates.

We want you to walk for a loved one – for your grandma, for your partner or for a friend who you may have lost. Sign up right now, and walk to remember that special person who meant so much to you. They could have been a fan of the club or they could have passed during Covid and this is an opportunity for family, friends and/or work colleagues to share happy memories of those loved ones who may no longer be with us. We are asking the people of Teesside to put their best foot forward and come along and take part.
The goal of the walk is to increase awareness of MFC Foundation's Dementia Project and raise money to allow the Foundation to continue to help those living with dementia in Teesside and give them the support they deserve.

MFC Foundation and the Football Club deliver monthly activities including an afternoon inclusive tea dance and also dementia friendly stadium tours. These activities help those living with dementia remain active and not feel isolated and allows them to keep their independence as they get out for a coffee and a chat with people they can relate to.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer and there is currently no cure. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with dementia. By taking part in our Memory Walk you are helping MFC Foundation and Middlesbrough FC make life better for those people living with dementia across Teesside, right now.
The walk is open to ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC and we hope that our communities, service users, volunteers, employees and stakeholders will all consider joining us.
Registration is open now click here.
You may like to collect sponsorship for the walk, if so you can set up a fundraising page on Justgiving and select Middlesbrough FC Foundation. Or you could make a one-off donation, although this is not compulsory.
We look forward to you joining us on Sunday 23rd July
