The police are massively under appreciated in this country. They put themselves at serious risk on a daily basis with minimal protection compared to their contemporaries in other countries.

Its 'cool' to hate the police.
Its good to see footage like this once in a while to remind people a lot of worrying things for the public get swept up before we even know about them thanks to the police.
(obviously not "good to see footage like this" but you get my gist!)

Unfortunately the rotten apples in the Police are giving the good officers a really bad name. The Police are not in a good place at present, and haven't been for..... ooooohhh I don't know about 13 years?

Policing is in a bad place for sure and even accounting for the budgetary cuts there remains a lack of leadership and clear vision.
But equally the 'bad apples' are causing a disproportionate amount of damage to public confidence.
It's an uncomfortable fact that some police officers will be sex offenders, including paedophiles. Such people will see the police service as a vehicle by which to offend. Teachers also.
Identifying them proactively, before they offend, is incredibly difficult and an increasing problem.
It's a fact that a very small minority of Police officers will offend, but the proportion is incredibly small.

Well according to the media, the prisons are full, they’ll perhaps release a few rapists and burglars to make room so we are kept safe at night………… This country is really f*****.
