I have just stumbled across this short article by Adrian Yekkes written in 2014 and it brought back a few memories for me. Like Adrian, I frequented all the places he mentions, the Masham, the Shaky, Monday nights in Mandy's, and spent hours in Fearnley's and Wycherley's record shops. When the Boro weren't playing at Ayersome, Saturday afternoon as a teenager was spent playing on the organs and guitars in Hamiltons or trailing round the numerous clothes shops and department stores.
