An article in the independent today, referencing an open letter in the lancet, highlights that over a thousand scientists and medical professionals are asking Johnson to reconsider removing all restrictions.
The article is fairly damming but what struck me about this was I think it's the first time members of the scientific community have, as a group, or even sub group, condemned a decision by this government. The fact that it has been done in a formal manner suggests that the feeling amongst those signatory is pretty high.
This is not meant to be lockdown v anti lockdown. I post this for those who want to read the article and draw their own conclusions.
