Yep agree going to get overrun. No pace and little bite.

McNair lacks the mobility for midfield in my opinion. When he steps out of defence with the ball and picks a pass, I feel he much more effective because he is an addition; I thought he looked one paced before being shuffled back.

Hopefully an experiment that does not need to be repeated. Are we sure we only need one more midfielder? I would quite happily sacrifice one of our RCB’s for a good midfielder in addition to the one Wilder mentioned. This is not meant to be an insult but Johnny Howson should not be the best midfielder we have every game.

Kept getting caught in possession when he went back

My only issue with him in midfield is he doesn't get back quickly enough after possession is lost. He just hopes the defense will do his job for him. In possession then I have no qualms, his through back was excellent for the first.
