It looks like it has been written by a supporter of the mayor so seems to be slanted in his favour.

Just read the Facebook post. As expected it reads as attention seeking, self congratulatory nonsense accompanied by the usual photo.

The man is a complete fraud and as pointed out earlier, it is likely illegal for him to be privately funding an assistant who then works on behalf of the council.

Complete Tory despite his claims to be independent.

i don't believe that Preston himself was illegally paying an assistant otherwise he wouldn't be allowed to continue as Mayor.

Incorrect the executive are all elected councillors, who are hand-picked by the elected mayor.
On his executive the only 3 Tory Councillors and a few nodding independents, all are paid extra allowances, Approx. £20k
